The Challenge: From Technical Expertise to Human Leadership
When a white-labelled client identified a critical skills gap within its leadership population, they turned to us for support.
While their managers demonstrated world-class technical and project management expertise, many did not yet have the skillset, toolset and mindset to be true people leaders.
The business needed to shift this, strengthen emotional intelligence, and equip leaders with practical tools for navigating critical conversations and complex team dynamics.
The Solution: A Bespoke People Leadership Programme Designed and Delivered by Blue Gnu
In response, a multi-cohort Leadership Programme was designed and delivered in partnership with Blue Gnu.
Rather than a one-off intervention, this was an immersive, experiential development journey featuring:
7 intensive modules progressing from self-awareness through to high-performance coaching
Insights using tools such as Motivational Maps and Leadership Underlying Beliefs profiling to surface individual drivers and behavioural patterns
Safe-to-fail environments including live actor-led simulations to enable realistic, high-impact practice of challenging conversations
The Impact: By the Numbers
The programme has now run across six cohorts (with two more scheduled), with 95 leaders completing it to date, consistently delivering results that exceed industry benchmarks:
82% average of participants reported the programme exceeded expectations, rising to 93% in the most recent cohort
91% rated their leadership confidence at the highest level (5/6 or 6/6) upon completion
100% across multiple cohorts rated time away from their desks as “Extremely Valuable”, demonstrating a strong Return on Time Invested (ROTI)
