Striving for High Performance: A Shared Mission

We've got some genuinely exciting news to share: Blue Gnu is partnering with Freya Gordon – an elite swimmer from Haslemere Swimming Club, right here in Surrey.
For us, this isn't just sponsorship. It's partnership in the truest sense and it's rooted in the values that drive everything we do: Joy, Abundance, and Partnership.
WHY FREYA?
Freya trains over 16 hours a week, travels nationally for competitions, and is somehow also navigating her GCSEs. Last summer, she qualified for the British National Championships and then dominated at the English Nationals – taking home GOLD in the 100m, 200m, and 400m Freestyle, plus the 400m Individual Medley. Four golds. Incredible.
But here's what really caught our attention: when we spoke to Freya about her success, she said something that stopped us in our tracks:
"I was really happy to have qualified and definitely wasn't expecting to win any medals. But my coach had real faith that I could win and I think this helped me begin to realise what I could achieve."

That moment – when someone believes in you before you fully believe in yourself – that's when everything shifts. We see it in the teams we work with all the time. And we see it in Freya.
PARTNERSHIP BEYOND POUNDS
Yes, we're supporting Freya financially. Elite sport isn't cheap – race suits, travel, accommodation, training camps. Our support helps ease that burden so she can focus on what matters: training, competing, and enjoying the journey.
But we want to offer something more.
At Blue Gnu, we work with organisations to unlock high performance by helping people understand themselves – and each other – better. We use tools like Motivational Maps and Insights Discovery to reveal what drives people, how they operate under pressure, and how they can show up at their best when it matters most.
We believe this could give Freya a genuine competitive edge as she progresses toward international competition and the Commonwealth Games. So we're inviting her to experience what we do: a Youth Motivational Map, an Insights Discovery profile, and time with our team to explore how elite athletes and high-performing teams think, prepare, and perform under pressure.
Understanding what motivates you, how you respond to setbacks, and how to build resilience isn't just useful in boardrooms – it's gold in the pool.
ABUNDANCE WE BUILD TOGETHER
Freya has been selected for the Welsh National Squad and invited to the Swim Wales high-performance centre in Swansea. She's on an upward trajectory, and we're honoured to be part of it.
For us, abundance isn't something you hoard – it's something you create together. And investing in young talent, in potential, in people who bring joy to what they do? That's one of the most abundant things we can think of.
We'd love you to follow Freya's journey with us throughout the 2025/2026 season, including the Challenge Geneve International Meet and the Aquatics GB National Championships.
