THE CHALLENGE
In an unsettled and competitive retail market, Smiggle needed to understand their workforce on a different level and engender a feeling of community. The overall objective was to encourage managers and raise the energy in the organisation so that all team leaders get that WIN scenario as opposed to a tell style of leadership.
THE SOLUTION
Through the design of bespoke workshops Blue Gnu introduced Insights Discovery to help address feedback and communication gaps. We enabled employees to harness the power of self-awareness – creating ownership of attitude in interactions with their peers. We removed barriers to communication and ignited the feeling of accountability.
THE RESULTS (so far!)
The impact of the programme has already been felt with a new embedded common language and team loyalty, and we only got started after the Festival of Work 2024!
Smiggle has seen retention of experienced managers, by choosing to understand their unique preferences and drivers. We made sure that we helped team managers to plan out their next few team meetings with follow up exercises to help embed the practices learnt at the workshops into life at work.
Participants felt they were fully engaged with the experience and we are continuing to work with Smiggle on the next phase of their development.
